Google Now Lets You Export Passwords from Chrome Canary and Dev for Android

              
Google Chrome is undoubtedly one of the best web browsers out there. 

While the recent launch of Firefox Quantum might have meant that a decent competitor was finally in the market, Chrome is still preferred by the majority of the audience, simply because everything we use is connected and synced with our Google account.

In the same context, Chrome also saves all your passwords for easy login to websites. While the ability to export these passwords has long been available on desktop browsers, it seems as if Google is finally making the feature available to Android users as well.

As reported by Android Police, there are new flags on the Chrome Canary and Dev, for importing and exporting saved passwords. The flags are #PasswordImport and #PasswordExport for importing and exporting respectively. Once enabled, you can simply head over to the "Save passwords" section of the Chrome browser, tap on the 3-dot menu, and select "Export passwords". You will then be prompted to the request using your PIN / Password / Pattern, after which Chrome will save your passwords to a spreadsheet file, in the CSV format.

To enable the said flags, simply head over to "chrome: // flags" in your browser. Now, search for "Password" and enable the toggles next to the aforementioned flags.

As of now, there is no telling when these flags will make their way to the Chrome for Android, though we do not expect that to take place before v65.
